What song made you fall in love with goth music?
Not the first goth song you heard but the song that made you realize that you might be goth. I want to check your songs out. Been needing something to listen to that I may not have heard before.

Which of your local goth bands deserve a wider audience? (Musicians: you’re free to promote your own band.)
Whatever local means to you: your hometown, your state, or your country. It's fine to provide a link to your own material. Just keep it goth. Thanks in advance. 🖤

What would you like to see at your local Goth Club/Night?
A new goth night has recently opened in my city. There is not a large community in this area. There is more of a scene and people in the major city an hour away. But I'm happy there is something closer.
While I was there tonight I talked to the owner. He and his wife run a whole restaurant, while doing other nights. So he said they would like any recommendations and help with getting it together.
I like doing activities like this, especially if it helps someone, and gives a safe space. ^
I was wondering what all you enjoy seeing or need to have at a goth club or night. This is more of a question on ambience, customer service, safety concerns, and similar answers to that.
Along with any interesting ideas, or neat things you took note of from other places! Not to copy but just to help out a new local goth night. 🙂
Thank you!

Recommendations of songs with heavy base line
What are some good songs with strong baselines and deep notes? I just installed a 12" sub in my truck and want to push its limits and find new songs.

I’ve stopped caring, really
I haven’t been in the subculture for the longest time although I grew up with parts of it due to my mom being involved. When I got into online communities I used to be really easily annoyed at people categorizing things as goth that aren’t the music. Someone told me trap rap was goth and since I was also probably just a stupid kid I had to think about that for months. I got into online arguments, and all that kind of stuff.
I haven’t thought about it for a while but recently I’ve realized I stopped caring about things being mislabeled, me being insulted based of my music taste and appearance, the stereotypes (the goth girl thing still annoys me thought, if you know what I mean). I just feel like I kinda got more chill after being involved for a while. Does anyone relate?
One thing I do think is that no matter how many rap songs get labeled as goth, we always have the scene and all of those things like the goth e girls are just online and not really actually affecting me/us. Although I do live in a specific part of Germany where there’s about 0,1 e girls lol, so maybe that changes things.
I laugh about a lot of things I used to get mad over and don’t start arguments anymore. Sometimes I correct people in a friendly way if it’s appropriate but that’s it.

Summerland Haze Vol. 5 (Event in Vienna, Austria)
If you find yourself in or close to Vienna this weekend, there'll be a loungy goth soirée this Saturday at the stylish vintage furniture pub Kaffeebar Quentin. Come as you are – we don't believe in pedantic nonsense like dresscodes. Musically, there'll be a blend of old classics from Bauhaus, Siouxsie, Zero Le Crêche and the like, but also modern gems from acts like Cult Strange or Egrets On Ergot. Summerland Haze is the summerly offshoot of the longstanding event series Scary Monsters & Super Creeps. Starts at 7:30.
